Location
We have two different riding locations, depending on availability and riding skills.
Trail rides are by appointment only – reservations must be made in advance via email or WhatsApp.
Book at least 72 hours in advance. We speak English.
Getting to the ranch
Please note: you need your own car to reach us.
The Lucca ranch is accessible by car or taxi from Lucca (15-20 minute drive).
The second location is also accessible by train (35 minutes from Lucca).
There is no regular bus service to either location.

Ranch rules and booking conditions
Please read the following carefully before booking your ride:
Important Notes
No walk-ins allowed.
Please book at least 2 days in advance via whattsapp or email.
We do not accept bookings by phone.
Booking hours 8.30-19.00. mon to sun
No double riding allowed by Italian law.
Our guides will walk next to children if needed, regardless of riding experience.
Cancellation Policy
Groups of 1-3 riders:
Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations within 24 hours, for any reason, are non-refundable.
Groups of 4 or more:
Cancel up to 48 hours in advance for a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations within 48 hours, for any reason, are non-refundable.
We prepare the horses in advance based on the number of riders. If someone is unable to attend or if you wish to add a rider, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance so that we can adjust the booking and send a new payment link.
Requirements and important information
Rider Requirements
Maximum rider weight: approx. 90 kg.
Minimum age: 5 years.
Identification required: According to Italian law, all riders must show proof of identity (a photo ID on your phone is acceptable) and sign a waiver before riding.
Arrival time
Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled ride for helmet fitting, signing the waiver, payment of the remaining balance, and riding instructions.
Arriving late may shorten your riding time or result in you missing the ride. The group starts on time.
Booking and payments
Horses are only reserved after we have received your deposit.
The payment link we send is valid for 12 hours. If not paid, your time slot may become available to others.
The remaining balance is due upon arrival at the ranch.
Riding experience
Horse assignment is done by our guides, based on the rider's size, experience, and temperament. We help you mount, adjust the stirrups, and provide basic instructions before the ride begins.
*At the Lucca Ranch, all rides are done at walking pass only for safety reasons on uneven paths and hills.
These are scenic, gentle rides suitable for all levels.
*More experienced riders can request a faster-paced ride (including trotting and galloping) available ONLY at our second ranch. (45 minutes drive from Lucca)

What to Wear
Casual, practical clothing
Long pants, closed shoes.
We provide loaner helmets for all riders and body protector for children under 14 (mandatory by Italian law).
Group Policy
We do not guarantee private rides.
Solo riders will join a group unless a privater ride is requested in advance €35 extra per person, minimum 2 riders)
Solo riders: if you don't want to join a group, we charge € 40 supplement. Otherwise, we try to fit you into an existing group.
Maximum group size.
Lucca ranch: max. 6 riders per group.
Mountain ranch: max. 10 riders per group (by law).
Weather & Trail Conditions
Rides consistently in most weather conditions
We cancel only in case of severe weather (e.g. rain, storm, strong winds) that makes the trail unsafe.
The ranch owners decide if a ride is canceled or interrupted for safety reasons.
If we cancel due to weather, we either refund your deposit or reschedule.
If a rider chooses not to ride last minute or on-site, no refund will be given.
